[About tax exemption]　免税についてについて

"Tax exemption" is a system that allows customers who live outside of Japan to shop overseas and not pay consumption tax on products they bring back to Japan. Murasaki Sports AEON Mall Kofu Showa Store offers tax exemption services to foreign visitors to Japan.

"Tax exemption" is a system that allows customers who do not live in Japan to shop overseas and bring back products with reduced consumption tax.

[Tax exemption items and conditions of use]免税品目とご利用条件

The following customers are eligible for tax exemption.

Foreign nationals Foreign nationals

● Please bring your passport (entry permit required) or one of the following permits.

・Crew Landing Permit
・Emergency Landing Permit
・Disaster Landing Permit
・Ship Tourist Landing Permit

● Your status of residence must be either "Short-term Visitor", "Diplomatic", or "Official"

● Your stay in Japan must be less than 6 months

● Purchases of 5,500 yen or more (5,000 yen excluding tax)

* Customers who can show the tax-free QR code on VisitJapanWeb do not need to show their passport.

Japanese nationals Japanese nationals

● You must have a passport (entry permit required) or one of the following permits

・Crew Landing Permit
・Emergency Landing Permit
・Disaster Landing Permit
・Ship Tourist Landing Permit

● Your stay in Japan must be less than 6 months

● Total purchases must be 5,500 yen (5,000 yen excluding tax) or more

● You must be able to prove that you have lived overseas for more than 2 years with an original "Certificate of Residence" or "Certified Copy of Family Register"

* The address number of your permanent domicile must be written on the certificate.

【Notes】

● If you enter the country using an automated gate, if your passport does not have a stamp at the time of entry, the date of entry cannot be confirmed and tax exemption is not possible. If you are considering tax exemption, please present the stamp (stamp or sticker) to the immigration officer when entering the country at the automated gate.

● Products purchased at multiple Murasaki Sports stores cannot be combined for tax exemption.

● If you purchase a tax-free item, you must leave the country within six months of entering the country. If you do not take the item out within six months, it will be subject to tax when you leave the country.

● There are purchase quantity limits for some popular items in the store.

● Due to the revision of the consumption tax exemption system that came into effect on April 1, 2023, the requirements for customers eligible for tax-free sales have changed. For details, please check the information from the Japan Tourism Agency below.

Return and exchange procedures

● The item must be within 2 weeks of purchase and in a condition that can be resold.

● All accessories such as product tags and packaging materials must be included.

● Please bring the "Items required for return and exchange procedures" to the cash register of the store where you purchased the item (the store where you paid for it).

※Returns and exchanges cannot be accepted at any store other than the store where you purchased the item.

● If the item you wish to exchange is not available, we will return it or exchange it for an equivalent item.

● If you wish to return a high-value item, we may hold the item and contact you at a later date.
